Our Mission

The South Dakota Beef Breeds Council (SDBBC) is an organization of ten registered beef cattle associations whose purpose is to:
  1. Promote and improve the registered beef cattle industry in South Dakota.
  2. Assist in the planning and promotion of educational activities, seminars and other related projects.
  3. Assist and promote the exportation of South Dakota cattle.
  4. Execute the SD Summer Spotlight Show.
  5. Assist and promote state livestock shows such as the SD State Fair.
  6. Be available in an advisory capacity to any South Dakota state institution in regard to the registered cattle industry projects and activities.
  7. Serve in representing the registered cattle industry in any other activity or area that the Council delegates may assign from time to time.
